BIOGRAPHY OF PRINCIPAL

Frances Buggy, founder of Corevalue Frances Buggy is an experienced senior management professional who has successfully initiated and completed significant e-business, B2B and information management projects. As founder member and former Chair of the Irish Internet Association, http://www.iia.ie she has advised on the European regulatory environment for e-business and Internet legislation, and has a deep understanding of international trends in Internet applications for business.

A graduate of the College of Marketing & Design (DIT) and a graduate member of the Marketing Institute of Ireland and is also an EU-certified Value Analyst. As an honours MBA graduate from Dublin City University Frances Buggy also brings leadership and analytical skills to each assignment.

Until October l999, she was employed as web and database marketing specialist with OCEAN where she:

  • set the requirements for a market intelligence Oracle-based relational database

  • managed the development of the corporate website, Intranet and an Extranet environment

  • integrated online marketing and communications with the offline marketing strategy, becoming a Finalist in the Marketing Excellence category of the Golden Spiders Internet Awards, 1999.

  • developed the corporate email communication management strategy

  • liased with other BT joint ventures in Europe about e-projects of mutual interest.

From l993 until mid l998 she was product manager of international B2B information specialists Kompass Ireland which produces online and offline databases of businesses. Her experience included servicing the international data population requirements of corporate clients for industrial databases, bringing a direct response/data capture card product into profit and participation in the project to migrate the Irish industrial directory on to the Web. Frances was the originator and project manager of the first ever web awards for Irish business websites in 1996. Previously, she held marketing positions with Irish Life Finance Group, the countrywide Solicitors Property Services Ltd. and the Nationalist and Leinster Times newspaper.


Her areas of specialisation include:
the definition and management of strategic e-business projects informed by the changing regulatory environment; business process analysis; Web site intranet/extranet content policy, the integration of media and communications channels to meet business objectives and the design and management of complex data capture and market research assignments.

Frances Buggy is currently an executive director of Corevalue Ltd., a consultancy business she founded to facilitate e-business change, improve outsourced relationships, and offer strategic advice on corporate websites, Intranets and extranets.

To date her consultancy experience has included:

  • Completion of competitor and market analyses in the technology sector

  • Leadership of cross departmental project teams on the definition of e-business strategy

  • Facilitation of process definition and functional analysis workshops

  • Completion of corporate Web sites and an Extranet environment

  • Integration of online marketing methodologies into corporate marketing strategy


Frances Buggy has been on the board of the Irish Internet Association www.iia.ie since its foundation in 1997 and, as chairwoman (99-00), she deepened her involvement in the development of public policy on E- commerce in Ireland and Europe.
